"This picture was the very first I took with vertical point of view. I remember being struck by how the absolute vertical can transform a landscape into a painting. Since that day, I'm looking for those compositions in the different places I was lucky enough to visit. It all began on that day. This photo shows the melting of a glacier in a lake. The brown color is created by the mix of earth and melting ice."
